PoC (Proof of Concept)
Every great solution starts with a question: Is this even possible?
A PoC or Proof of Concept is about showing that something can be done, before you invest time and money in building it. It’s where we test feasibility, explore assumptions, and make sure the core idea stands up technically and/or conceptually.
How
Scoping
We define a tight, focused goal, one core feature, user flow or technical capability we want to test. We focus only on the essentials.
Explore possibilities
We collaborate closely across Design and Development to find out what’s possible and where the real risks lie. Sometimes we go wide with multiple concepts, sometimes we hone in and explore one concept more deeply.
Focus on functionality and build just enough
A PoC is not polished, it’s purposeful. That could mean a hacked-together flow, a clickable prototype, a concept or an API call that proves or validates something under the hood.
Learn & decide
Once we’ve tested the concept, we look at what we’ve learned. Was it viable? Did it work? If not, why? Every result is useful, because it tells you where to go next, or what to leave behind.
Why
A Proof of Concept helps you test and evaluate bold ideas before you commit too much resources to them.
It gives you or your team clarity, confidence, and something concrete to align around, whether you’re getting stakeholder buy-in, shaping scope for an MVP, or evaluating a technical path.
It’s especially valuable when:
- You’re trying something new or unproven
- You need to validate feasibility fast
- You want to build trust with internal or external stakeholders
