At the start of our collaboration, JCDecaux faced the challenge of developing a new concept for a digital bike system—including an IoT platform, web and mobile apps, as well as electronic locks and motors. At the same time, they were operating in a complex legacy environment with several critical systems approaching end-of-life and end-of-support, which significantly hindered innovation and scalability.

We took full responsibility for the development of the digital bike system, delivering a first version of the IoT platform, locking mechanism, and user-facing applications. In parallel, we conducted a comprehensive system landscape assessment and defined a future vision. Through strategic choices, we developed a phased modernization plan while building new mobile applications to enhance customer experience and support a more modular, future-proof technical foundation.

JCDecaux now has a clear roadmap for its digital transformation and has already made significant progress. The system landscape is increasingly stable and future-ready. They are now able to offer more advanced forms of programmatic sales, and we’ve launched a range of innovative mobile apps for both internal use and customer-facing solutions.
